Our Pastors

Sr. Pastor James McClain

Pastor Jim and Janice McClain

James McClain, our Senior Pastor, was born in Harrisburg, PA. At 12 years of age he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. At 20 years of age he committed his life to fulltime service for the ministry.

He attended Baptist Bible College of Clarks Summit, PA. receiving a Bachelor of Religious Education degree in 1975. In 1978 he graduated from the Seminary there with a Master of Divinity Degree.

In February of 1979 Calvary Baptist Church called him to be Pastor. In addition to his Pastoral duties of preaching, teaching, counseling and calling, he serves as chairman of the Board of Trustees at Camp PATMOS, Kelly's Island, OH.

He and his wife Janice were married in April of 1972. They have 4 grown children, Ryan, Andrew, Joseph and Jayna.


Care and Counseling Pastor Joe Grof

Joseph Grof was born in Columbus, Ohio. When he was 8 years of age, his family moved to the Cleveland, Ohio area, where he graduated from Brunswick High School in 1976.

At 21 years of age he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Two years later he committed his life to fulltime service and began attending Baptist Bible College of Clarks Summit, PA. He graduated in 1987 receiving a Bachelor of Science in Bible degree.

In November of 1989, Calvary Baptist Church called him as Youth Pastor where he served for 16 years before moving over into other areas like C.E., Senior ministries, and counseling. Pastor Joe's interests include high school sports, teaching the Bible, fishing, exercise and woodworking. 

Pastor Joe loves the Cleveland Browns but is contemplating switching to a team that actually wins...

He and his wife, Melanie, were married in June of 1979. They have two children, Ashley and Joseph.

Youth Pastor Dan Kenyon 
 

Dan and Meg Kenyon became part of the staff at Calvary Baptist Church in September 2009.  Dan is from Parma, Ohio. He is the oldest of eight children and is part of a musical family.  He has been a part of several music ministries and currently has two CD's.  Dan grew up in a Christian home, and had accepted Christ at a young age, but rededicated himself to Christ in high school when he felt his calling to minister.  He and Meg were married on September 26 and both have a strong desire to invest into the lives of teens, helping them come into a deeper relationship with Christ.
